ABSTRAK : In recebt time Indian manufacturing has seen
technologically intensive and resource optimization
based initiatives to satisfy do by developing products
either strategically or innovatively, but that is hardly
distinguished or seen as a separate approach to product
development. Strategically, product development is
resource optimization based while innovatively, it is
product differentiation focused. This paper outlines the
strategic and innovative approach to product development
and analyzes sector specific role of each in product
development. The study is undertaken with nine product
development team-leaders and resoucer-heads, theree of
each from automobile, steel and textile. It is concluded
that textile is strategi-cally skewed toward product
development whereas automobile is inclined towards
innovative orientation. The biggest limitation of this
study is smaller sample-size becouse respondent are
reluctant to dislose new technical initiatives and
composition of product development

ABSTRAK : The aims of this research were to investigate the
prebiotic and synbiotic of sweet potato products
(combined with L. casei subsp Rhamnosus for probiotic)
in increasing the number of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB)
and suppressing the number of E. coli and the occurrence
of Salmonella in vivo. Some previous study showed that
sweet potato is a potent source of prebiotic. The sweet
potato products evaluated were sweet potato fakes (SPF)
and sweet potato ice cream mix. The in vivo assay used
male rat strain Sprague-Dewey. Total micribes, LAB, E.
coli and Salmoneila in fecal were analyzed before,
during and after period. Feeding with SPF as prebiotic,
L. casei subsp Rhamnosus as probiotic and combination of
both as synbiotic for ten days were able to increase the
number of LAB (0.4-1.1 log CFU/g) and suppress the
number of coli in rat feces (1.5-1.7 log CFU/g). All of
the treatment did not affect the occurrence of
Salmonella in rat feces. The treatment of sweet potato
ice cream mix as prebiotics and the combination of sweet
potato ice cream mix and L. casei subsp. Thamnosus as
synbiotic for ten days did not effect the number of LAB
and E. coli in rat feces.

perubahan. Pelantikan Presiden Barack Obama diikuti
dengan pelantikan sejumlah besar pejabat Amerika
Serikat. Hubungan bilateral RI-AS mengalami banyak
pasang surut. Hubungan RI_AS selama 8 tahun meningkat.
AS mencabut embargo senjata dan memberikan bantuan
pendidikan kepada RI 157 juta dollar AS untuk kurun
waktu lima tahun. AS juga mengakui berbagai kemajuan RI
di bidang good governance dan dedikasi untuk mendorong
liberalisasi ekonomi serta investasi dalam pembangunan
sumber daya manusia.

ABSTRAK : Business emulation facing by the company progressively
tighlens, require to improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of managerial performance. Existence of
decentralization and characteristic of accounting
information management the best can improve the
managerial performance. This research check the

influence decetralize and characteristic of accounting
information management to managerial performance. This
research tupe qualitative with the statistical
inferential aapproadch of analysis technigue used
multilinear regression. Population used by al manager
and assistant manager of accounting division, Logistics,
technological PT. PAL Indonesia. Samples are 32 people
of managers and assitant managers. Result of research
indicates the first hypothesis show the decentralization
significant to managerial performance, proven with the
value sig 0.009. Characteristic of accounting
information management have an effect significant to
managerial performance, proven by sig 0.022. Second
Hypothesis show simultaneous decentralize and
characteristic of accounting information managenet have
on effect significant to performance managerial, proven
with the value sig 0.000.
